Intellectual property exposure through reverse engineering
Retired robots, subassemblies, and prototypes can reveal mechanical tolerances, sensor placement, materials, and control architecture that competitors can analyze.
Industry Solutions
Shredding Services for Technology, Robotics, and IT Companies
Specialized destruction built for modern tech environments — combining high-precision physical destruction with secure handling practices that help you eliminate risks.
Trusted by leaders across California
The Importance of Secure Destruction
Robotics manufacturers, electronics suppliers, advanced manufacturing groups, and R&D labs handle devices containing proprietary engineering, novel materials, custom firmware, and unique mechanical assemblies.
Embedded data remnants in storage and components
Robotics systems often include components and files that can persist beyond normal decommissioning, which is why media sanitization guidance like NIST SP 800-88 is commonly referenced.
Gray market and supply chain re-entry
Uncontrolled disposal can lead to resale, refurbishment, parts harvesting, or unauthorized reuse of devices, creating brand damage and safety issues.
Regulatory and contractual penalties
Improper disposal can trigger compliance risk under HIPAA, the FTC Disposal Rule implementing FACTA, and export control obligations.
Destruction Services for High-Value Technology Equipment
Flexible service models designed for your facility, your schedule, and your security requirements.
On-Site Shredding
We bring the shredding process to your facility so your team can maintain direct oversight from start to finish. Your staff can witness the process, confirm the scope of technology asset and prototype destruction, and reduce exposure associated with transport.
Off-Site Shredding
Materials are collected using controlled handling procedures and transported for destruction under secure operational practices. This shredding option can be a strong fit when you need consistent service across multiple locations or when facility logistics make on-site operations impractical.
Recurring & One-Time Service
Viking Shred supports recurring and one-time projects, including scheduled lab cleanouts, periodic prototype retirement, and end-of-life equipment programs. Whether you need a monthly pickup, a quarterly purge, or a single high-security destruction event.
Partner with a Certified Provider
Built for robotics hardware and high-stakes intellectual property.
NAID AAA Certified
Signals adherence to recognized standards for secure prototype destruction operations, giving security, compliance, and procurement teams confidence.
Millimeter-level Shredding
Thorough physical destruction of technology assets ensures sensitive parts, components, and assemblies cannot be reconstructed, reused, or repurposed.
Strict Chain of Custody
We treat sensitive assets as high-risk materials from staging to destruction. Controlled handling and documented custody minimize risks of loss or tampering.
Certificate of Destruction
Documentation confirms destruction has been completed according to agreed scope, supporting audit readiness and internal recordkeeping.
